Exceptional design, a well-organized exhibition, meaningful conversations, inspiring meetings with colleagues and suppliers, successful buying appointments – and quite a bit of champagne. European Bridal Week 2026 delivered on every level, once again confirming its position as Northern Europe’s leading meeting place for the bridal industry.

From the moment we arrived at Messe Essen, the improvements were noticeable: clearer signage, a more structured programme, and an overall better flow throughout the exhibition halls. The result was a smoother, more inspiring experience from beginning to end.

A Growing Global Meeting Place

This year’s event welcomed visitors from no fewer than 54 countries, with attendance increasing by 4.8%. From Australia, the USA, Canada and Ecuador to the Middle East and Eastern Europe – while the majority of visitors came from across Europe, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries and France.

Nordic Lounge – A Dedicated Gathering Point

Through our collaboration with the organisers, we were once again proud to welcome visitors to the Nordic Lounge – an exclusive space dedicated to Nordic bridal retailers.

Participants were also offered two complimentary nights at a hotel close to the exhibition venue – an initiative we hope, and believe, will continue next year. Keep an eye out, as information is usually released as early as December.

A New Fashion Show Experience

Perhaps the biggest highlight of this year’s event was the completely redesigned fashion show concept. The catwalk was brought closer to the audience than ever before, creating an experience that felt both intimate and vibrant.

The gowns enjoyed more time on stage, while something new was constantly unfolding. Models moved among the audience, creating a dynamic presentation where visitors could truly appreciate the details, silhouettes and craftsmanship – and, not least, capture far better photographs.

The response was overwhelmingly positive. The shows were fully booked, and demand was so high that many unfortunately had to be turned away. The audience was no longer simply watching – they became part of the experience, immersed in both the design and the emotion.

The Stands We Simply Couldn’t Walk Past

Among this year’s most impressive stands was Dama Couture, which captivated visitors with a Bridgerton-inspired universe. The brand also stood out for its dedicated lighting design – elevating both the models and the collections far beyond standard exhibition lighting.

Wilvorst presented a polished and contemporary stand featuring elegant décor – along with a large heart-shaped photo booth that quickly became a popular attraction.

An Unforgettable Awards Evening

Set against the spectacular backdrop of the former industrial buildings at Zeche Zollverein, this year’s awards ceremony was an evening filled with elegance, celebration and community.

With a beautiful three-course dinner, open bar, live band keeping the dance floor lively, and a Creative Black Tie dress code, guests shone from beginning to end.

The Evening’s Winners:

  • Justin Alexander – Best Marketing Campaign Supplier
  • Diane Legrand – Best Customer Service Supplier
  • Bianco Evento – Best Accessories Supplier
  • Manzetti – Best Menswear Supplier
  • Christian Koehlert – Best Eveningwear/Prom Supplier
  • Randy Fenoli Bridal – Best Commercial Designer
  • Très Chic Bridal Wear – Best Bridal Supplier

One particularly proud moment: Nordic Bridal Media’s editor Mari had the honour of presenting the award to Christian Koehlert.

We’re Already Looking Forward to Next Year

With strong growth, global participation and successful new concepts, European Bridal Week continues to evolve alongside the industry.

Event Director Siegrid Hampsink summed it up perfectly: the event continues to strengthen its role as an independent platform for innovation, collaboration and growth within the global bridal industry.

The dates for next year are already confirmed: 3–5 April 2027.
