Stores that want to stand out from the crowd need to think of new and innovative ways to attract more customers to their store. Arranging a successful event in the store is a great way to differentiate your store from others in the industry.

Make a plan

Planning is extremely important for any business success. It contributes to clarity and helps with motivation and above all it describes exactly what you need to do to succeed with your goal. When planning for an event in your bridal shop, there are some things that you should organize first of all. The most important thing is to establish a budget for your event as this lays the foundation for how your event will be designed. Of course, it is important to arrange an event that impresses and stands out, but the event should also be realistic and within the limits of your budget.

Once you have set your budget, it is time to start thinking about your theme, your chosen theme sets the feel for the event so it is important that you think through this carefully. Make sure the theme is in line with your store and is something that your customers will appreciate.

Finally – set a date! It is extremely important to give yourself enough time to market your event so make sure you plan at least a couple of weeks in advance. The most successful events are a success precisely because they have had time to build up expectations around it and become something that everyone talks about and wants to attend.

Understand your goal

When planning your event, it is also important that you have a clear goal in front of you. What is the purpose of your event? What do you hope to get out of it? Whether it is to strengthen awareness around your store, increase sales, get publicity or new customers, it is essential to know your goal before you start the implementation.

Highlight what you offer

When you present your event, also make sure that it contains a unique offer – this attracts more people to come to your event. And remember that an offer does not have to be about customers getting a discount, but it can be about you offering snacks, that a live band will play or that a special guest is there and lectures about something. Make sure to highlight exactly what makes your event special.

Make a guest list

Who you invite to your event is decisive for how the outcome will be and therefore you should really think about who you want to come. It’s always a good idea to invite a mix of people; for example existing customers, potential customers, influencers, press, other local entrepreneurs etc. Through a spread target group you can benefit on several different levels – you hopefully increase your sales during the event itself and at the same time the event becomes something positive as the local population and entrepreneurs talking about. However, think about how many people can fit in your store and have some form of restriction when it comes to invitations.
